Reflecting on my spiritual growth, certain resources have significantly affected my journey. These are some tools I’ve found helpful along the way.
Mission 119:
I found a practical and engaging way to deepen my relationship with God and grow in my faith. I listen to Mission 119 which is a Bible app designed to help me do just that. Why so impactful? The app consists of daily bible reading, insightful commentary and personal application. Each day I am being transformed in my journey of faith. Upload the app and study the bible each day. It’s that easy! https://www.mission119.org/

“The world wounds us, the devil lies to us, we vow never to let it happen again and we spend our lives picking the fruit of our wound “
“It doesn’t have to stay this way.”

“You can never figure out where you want to go unless you first know where you are.” Marcus Warner

Do you want to know the gospel that Jesus preached? Then you have to read this book. I am leading a disciple-making group at my church. We are studying the gospel of Mark and using this book as a guide.

How did I grow in my faith?
The only way to grow in your faith is to read the bible. It can be intimidating at first. I started out reading the gospels; Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. It was through my reading that my faith and love for Jesus grew. If you don’t own a bible, today would be a great day to buy one. I recommend the New International Version (NIV). Its easier to read and understand. Numerous Bible versions exist. I suggest that you buy one that includes both the Old Testament and New Testament.
Sharing Good News:
During my studies, this image was presented to me. It served as a tool to explain why Jesus had to die on the cross for me. It brought to life how my sin separated me from God, and that only through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus can I be justified before a holy God . Now I can come before God and have a relationship with Him. It was Jesus who took the punishment for me and you, even though we didn’t deserve it. Would you take the punishment for someone else?
